Analysis Of The Characteristics Of The Rapid Attack In Gearing Defense To Attack At Competition Of 2008 European Football Championship

The defense-offense transition speed modern is becoming much faster. Meanwhile, the carrying-out of rapid attack in gearing defense to attack is gaining much more attention and the attack quality determines the outcome of the match to a great extent. In this essay, I employ document method, observation method, and logical analysis to research the eight teams and seven matches during the elimination phase in the European Football Championship. I summarize the rapid attack after gaining the possession of the ball in various ways from all the regions and its characteristics. In addition, I investigate the reasons for the rapid attack miss in defense-offense transition and gain the following conclusion.:1. In the case of front field middle road, front filed offside road, middle field middle road, middle field offside road and back field offside road the players gain possession of the ball and gear from defense to attack mainly by scrambling it. In the case of backfield middle road, the possession of the ball and gear from defense to attack is mainly realized by dispossessing the ball.2. In defense-offense transition, the times of the rapid attack in front field attack is the lowest but with the best effect. The times of the rapid attack in middle field is more than that in front field while the attack effect goes down to a great extent. The times of the rapid attack in front field attack is the most while the effect being the worst.3. With respect to the rapid attack, in the front field the attack is finished with no ball passing and achieves the best effect. In middle field, the attack is finished with one or two ball passings and the effect is the best. In back field, we have the best effect when the attack is finished by three times of passing.4. The reason for the miss in rapid attack is as follows. In the front field it may due to the penetration passing miss and the dribble-in miss. In the middle field it dues to the penetration passing miss and the turn passing miss. As far as the back field is concerned, the reasons are the penetration passing miss and the trapping miss.
