With the rapid development of basketball, and the growing of the influence of the college basketball match CUBA and Men's Basketball Super League CUBS, commercial operation is gradually infiltrating into college basketball game, the commercialization of College basketball in Hunan has a certain development. In this paper, using ways such as literature, surveys, as well as field studies and so on, it analyzed the historical inevitability and social necessity of the commercialization of College Basketball in Hunan, and explained its social function, analyzed the overall living environment, it pointed out the problems which existing the commercialization of College Basketball in Hunan Province, and learn the successful experiences from the commercial operation of the college basketbal in America. It put forward some countermeasures to promote the fast-growing of commercialization of College Basketball in Hunan. The specific findings are as follows:(First) The commercial operation of College Basketball in Hunan is in line with the social needs and development of the times, which has historical inevitability. It can promote the continuous development of College Basketball, enhance the competitive level of college basketball, activate the commercial atmosphere of college basketball, which has social necessity.(Second) The commercial operation of College Basketball in Hunan has social functions such as easing financial difficulties, promoting the rapid development of basketball and College Basketball industries and economic; promoting the dissemination of basketball culture and campus culture and the construction of spiritual civilization, and so on.(Third) The problems existing in the commercialization of college basketball in Hunan Province include: lacking of sports marketing professionals; the competitive level of College Basketball is lower; the publicities id not enough; the sports marketing atmosphere is weak; lacking of a operatal model, as well as Lacking of the supports of laws and regulations, and so on.(Four) In order to promote the rapid developmen of the commercialization of College Basketball in Hunan, counter the problems, we should take the countermeasures such as strengthening the sports marketing professionals; raising the competitive level of college basketball in Hunan Province; and increasing the publicities combining with the media, creating the sports marketing atmosphere; As well as increasing supports of laws and regulations, and standardizing the management system, and so on.
