The significance of education is to get positive changes and develops on one's mind and character through the humanities. Since modern times, due to the national education controlled by the state, on the one hand, education activities develop so fast depending on the security and financial system, it has become an important way of improving national quality; On the other hand, the education of the utilitarian led to conflicts existing between the aim of education what ought to be and what is, it has emphasized excessively the aim of education for the social service function, reduced the individual needs in the educational activities, and ignored the culture where people live. And the development of the market economy leads to the practical purpose even the short-term profit, which destroy the humanism in education; A blundering mood has encircled the education system of the whole acts, including government decision-making, educational study and school educational practice. Especially modern school becomes pure tools of teaching discipline knowledge, preparing for entering next higher school. The importance of cultural has evaporated in schools, which led to the confusion of the individual spiritual world, it is the danger of modern education. Both of the physical and spiritual needs for men make education have to ask for the meanings, which is the responsibility of education, so we need to reconstruct humanistic attributes of education, it is the original intention of this paper. Modern education could have enriched people's emotion and edified life realm through culture in the surroundings, it is full of humanistic care.This paper includes four parts, the first analyzes the connotation of humanities attribute, then shows the humanistic dilemma of modern education, mainly involving school ethos, purpose of school education, curriculum and social practice. The third part is the analysis of reasons for humanistic dilemma of modern education, largely due to those macro reasons: negative pressures from market economy development and state control upon the education; pressures of entering next higher school, the relationship between teachers and students, safety protection and economic position are some micro reasons. In order to put this theory into practice, this paper learns some experience abroad mainly on the social and cultural institutions in America, especially the construction and the use of library and museum, then introducing a middle school, which creates a kind of humanistic campus environment. Reconstruction of the humanities attribute of modern education is not utopian fantasies.
