Research On Designing Pictures To Train Senior High School Students' Ability Of Geographic Spatial Visualization.

The new round of geographic curriculum reform, there are large changes from concepts and content of high school's geography, in which the introduction of " Geography Spatial Ability" receives particular concerns.Ability of spatial visualization about geography is considered as a part of the important Geography Spatial Ability.The education of ability of spatial visualization in geography is a key to the system of geographical curriculum in middle school.However,geography spatial ability about visualization,there is no any systemic research about senior high school students in China by now. Ability of spatial visualization about geography research of Geography lags far behind the other disciplines.What's more,this article explored the related theories and literature on ability of spatial visualization in geography in order to establish the theoretical foundation. Based on comprehensive analysis of ability of spatial visualization in geography of psychology, mathematics and other disciplines,combining ability of spatial visualization in geography requirements of geography, ability of spatial visualization in geography was defined and classified.Last,but not least, designed teaching pratice. The results showed that: (1)currently, ability of spatial visualization in geography of senior high school students are low, especially spatial analysis ability are poor.(2) ability of spatial visualization in geography is important component of geographical learning abilities. The correlation of ability of spatial visualization in geography and geographic academic performance of students is significantly positive.(3) there is significant gender difference in ability of spatial visualization in geography of high school students.With the results, this article concluded the way about designing picture. From three areas which are the tactics of the choice and the present of teaching content ,the tactics of ways and means in teaching, the tactics of evaluation of learning,concrete measures and proposals for training senior high school students geography spatial ability ability of spatial visualization in geography were proposed in order to provide theoretical and practical reference guide for teachers teaching and students learning.
