In this information explosion age, it’s school education’s responsibility to develop a person’s ability, such as learning ability, knowledge migration ability and innovation ability. The characteristic of school education branch is obvious. Subject ability has become an important part of school education. For geography, the geographical space is the basis of geographical studies, and geographical spatial ability is characteristic of geography. It bases on the geographical space, and gets the information about distribution, relation and variation of geographical objects. But the study of geographical spatial ability is still in the process of improving.On the study of geographical spatial ability at this stage, the research focused on the study of geographical spatial ability in the gender differences in the foreign, domestic research is mainly about a particular aspect of the research on geographic spatial ability, but short of system research. Select a new perspective on the study of geographic spatial ability is very important to improve the geographic space ability structure.Based on the geography test in the College Entrance Examination of Heilongjiang Province as the breakthrough point of the research from 2005 to 2014, this paper investigates the characteristic of geographical spatial ability, and analyzes the test characteristics and typical questions in the exam of the geographical spatial positioning ability, geographical spatial perception ability and geographical spatial analysis ability, before and after the curriculum reform. At last targeted suggestions are put forward for the high school geography teaching about how to improve the ability of geography space.This paper is divided into a total of five parts:The first chapter describes the research background, explains the purpose and significance of this topic, makes up the research methods and research ideas, and at last summarizes the research contents of this article.The second chapter discusses the theoretical basis of research, for example the theory of multiple intelligences, theory of cognitive development and constructivism. By looking and reading a large number of literatures shows domestic and foreign research situation about the ability of geography space, and defines the relevant concepts about the geography space ability. Then pointed out the geographical spatial ability in the college entrance examination geography test which directly test in order to analysis the article below.The geographical spatial ability is one of the core capabilities of Geography,The third chapter illustrates requirements of the geography course standard and examination outline for cultivating ability of geography space. Then this part overall analysis the geographical test questions of Heilongjiang province College Entrance Examination from the topic quantity, score, questions and examination knowledge, mainly way of examines for nearly a decade. And compare differences from questions quantity, knowledge point and test mode three aspects before and after the new curriculum reform of Heilongjiang province between geographical spatial orientation ability, geographical spatial perception ability and geographical spatial analysis ability. Finally respectively summarizes the characteristics and trend of the three abilities.In the forth chapter author sums up the train the ability of geography space geographical spatial orientation ability, geographical spatial perception ability, the specific strategy of geographical spatial analysis ability through the above analysis of the paper.The last chapter summarizes the basic conclusion of this research and analyzes the deficiency from its own and external conditions about the process of analysis and research.
