Research On The Harmonious Cultural Cultivation In Colleges And Universities

"Harmony"is the important aim of current Chinese socialist construction. Proposition related to"Harmony"has therefore received more attention in the public than ever before. As crucial constitutional parts for society, colleges and universities can direct the social development and civilization advance. Meanwhile it behooves them to take responsibility for establishment for a harmonious society and furthermore, the cultivation of culture in colleges and universities will immediately influence the socialist construction of a harmonious society.Firstly, this dissertation represents the concepts of a harmonious cultural cultivation is colleges and universities, its characteristics and significance. Secondly, analysis is made about its instructional theories---socialist harmonious civilization and scientific foundation—modern scientific production. Thirdly, analysis goes on about the status quo of cultural cultivation on campus in China: on one hand, the construction has got initial results; on the other hand, some problems still exist: it gives priority to material development instead of spiritual education; the limitations of campus culture lie in papillary supervision and ideological education; there lacks construction of consciousness in student's self-identity and teachers'guiding roles. The problems such as hackneyed and stereotyped expressions in content, blankness in forms and lack of attraction still remain; philistinism in culture still has its stage. The reasons for the problems above include: there exists deficient recognition of the function of culture on campus; morbidity in supervision system can be seen; socialist market economic construction also brings about negative effects; western civilization and negative aspect of cyber culture will function oppositely. The harmonious culture on campus must be established so as to resolve such problems, which is not only for the need of a socialist harmonious society, but also the precondition for improvement of students'creativity and scientific development in colleges and universities.In the constructional process, such measures should be taken into practice: socialist core value system should be hold firmly as guidelines in the construction; cultivation in both teachers and students'mentality and morality should be strengthened; supervision system needs to get standardized, in which way can create a favorable atmosphere on campus and establish a good relationship between people in colleges and universities.
