Research On The Issues Of University Students' Socialist Core Value System Construction

This paper makes research upon the issues of contemporary university students' socialist core value system. Constructing university students' socialist core value system is a significant strategic task proposed on the sixth plenary session of the Sixteen Congress of the Party, which is an important subject to strengthen the ideological and theoretical construction of our Party. The report of the Seventeenth Congress of the party proposed that the socialism core value system is the essence embody of ideological form of socialist. This paper put the issues of socialism core value system in the groups of "Chinese contemporary university students" . By research and study, system analysis, it actively tries to explore and solve the issues of constructing contemporary university students' socialism core value system.As the core system and playing a leading role, Socialist Core Value System not only act on all the aspects of economy, politics, culture and social life, but also affect deeply on the world view, life view and values of every social members. The first part of this paper makes a deep analysis on the extreme importance of the construction of University Socialist Core Value System. Firstly, this paper, from the development situation of domestic and foreign economy and society, as well as the development of Chinese Marxist theory, made a systemic expatiation on the important background and scientific connotation of Socialist Core Value System, as well as the extreme importance of the construction of Socialist Core Value System. University students are valuable talent resources to our country, therefore, enhancing the ideological and political education of university students and promoting their ideological and political quality have profound and strategic significance to ensuring the realization of the great aim of building a well-off society in an all-round way and speeding up socialist modernization. This paper discussed the particular meaning of the construction of Socialist Core Value System for the university students from historical mission of university students, the influence on university students by the current social environment at home and abroad, and advancement of university students' comprehensive quality etc.At present, China is in a period of social transition with value of diversity and culture of variety. The globalization spreading of various cultures, as well as the strong attack of various thoughts lead to the complication and diversity on the value and value orientation of contemporary university students which never been shown before. The second part of this paper is mainly talking about the outstanding problems existing in university students' socialist core value system construction. After investigation, research and analysis, the current ideological and political situation of Chinese students show a good development trend of positive, healthy and upward. However, with the continuous deepening of reform and opening up and the development of economy and society, some problems, which cannot be ignored, appeared on students' spirit, values, morality, etc.. There are social causes and historical causes as well as causes existed in university students. However, the major point is that there are many factors which are out of step with university students' socialist core value system construction and there are some weak links in our work. The inharmonious factors and weak links are mainly, the lack of proper understanding, the outmoded content and method of education, the unsuitable security work, etc. As a result of the above problems, our work in university students' socialist core value system construction can not perfectly meet the need of the times and the need of university students.The construction of university students' socialism core value system cannot just stay at the theory level, and it should be put into practice. This construction should be pressed close to reality, life and university students, and its universality, interoperability, effectiveness, mechanism are the main problems to be solved. The third part of this paper brings forward some ideas and measures for strengthen the university students' socialism core value system from many aspects, such as awareness of thought, function exerting, concept popularizing, working methods, institutional mechanisms and so on. By effective educational instructions, serious practical measures, complete institutional mechanisms, it hopes to intensify university students' understanding and assurance upon the socialism core value system gradually, and then to deeply promote the understanding and practice of socialism core value system of the university students. What' s more, it can be conversed into values internally and practical action externally, and then to strengthen the connection and effectiveness of the role of socialism core value system upon guiding the university students to grow to be talented persons.
