On Intergenerational Relations Of China's Rural Family And The Support For The Aged

With the population aging,it has become the focus how to meet the elderly's needs of the living and the feeling. Family is a natural space to meet the needs of the elderly daily life.In China's rural areas,the support for the aged from the family is the most important part and plays an important role in the support system for the aged.Intergenerational relations in rural family is the starting point of this paper.First of all,on the basis of the reference of the concept and content of inter-generational relations,there is a concluding on the concept, concent and features,such as the endogenous,dynamic and interactive,of intergenerational relations in rural family.Secondly,the paper analyzes the present situation of the aged in rural family by the financial support, life care,spiritual comfort..On the basis of the above,the author analyzes the positive and negative effects that the changes of intergenerational relations,such as simplicity, externalization, the focus of intergenerational relations downward,the democratization and rationalization bring to the daily life of the elderly in rural.That is it's beneficial to cultivate awareness of the independence of the elderly and the elimination of intergenerational conflicts in ruraland goes against promotion of life quality,inheritance of culture of filial piety and stability of the support systemfor the aged in rural family.Finally,the author puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions for the impact of changes of intergenerational relations in rural areas.It maintains or enlarges the positive effect to the support for the aged that changes of intergenerational relations lead to by publicizing the value of the elderly,promoting "divide-and-chain" manner of living and creating a good "common-figurative culture" atmosphere in rural family.It weakens or eliminates negative effects through strengthening respect and supporting for the elderly in law, exploring a variety of resources of the support, establishing a new type of "filial piety" culture in rural areas.
