The aim of this research is to study how to integrate the cultural related contents(cultural coincidence and difference) in the Oxford English (Shanghai) with English teaching under the background of New English Curriculum; to study how to make use of cultural knowledge(cultural coincidence and difference) to serve English teaching in the aspects of content, method and cultivating students' competence, and to solve the problems and difficulties in English teaching nowadays. Meanwhile, the writer tries to discuss in what way the communication of Chinese and English culture benefits the learners, helping them come to love learnig English. This thesis intends to promote the application of comparison, communication and integration in English teaching, to improve both the teaching effect and the students' language qualities, thus enhancing their over-all development.The thesis includes: 1) The statistics and analysis of the cultural related contents in Oxford English (Shanghai). 2) The significance of introducing cultural knowledge in Oxford English teaching. 3) The practice and strategies of culture-loaded teaching in middle school English teaching: conclude and summarize the effect of cultural knowledge on English teaching and its principles in using, and the interaction between them. 4) The comment and reflection on culture-loaded teaching in middle school. The writer enforces the main purpose of the thesis: the importance of the comparison of culture and the practical meaning of cultural communication.
