Chinese teaching is not only a subject of science but also a subject of art. Among numerous subjects of learning, Chinese teaching is characterized with distinct affection, a subject cultivating language ability and sensibility, an united subject of utility and humanity, a hybrid of art and sensibility. Teaching is not a process that teachers are talking while students are listening passively, but it is a process integrated with cognitive and affective activities. Bring sensibilities into play fully can enhance positivity of students and teaching efficiency, promote students develop comprehensively.Though, for various reasons, for a long-term, it is common in actual Chinese education that affection education is missing, focusing on knowledge but ignoring sensibility. In teaching attentions are only paid to passing knowledge while cultivating affection is ignored, neglecting affective factors. Learning Chinese effect is gravely influenced by a series of negative affections and affective qualities are developing more slowly than knowledge is doing.Research highlights Chinese affective teaching in recent years. New curriculum standards 2001, is issued that affection is a focus from duty education to senior high school education, which points out that course objectives should be designed from three angles:knowledge and ability, process and methods, affections and values. As course revolution is taken seriously, Chinese affection teaching is becoming the subject by more and more researchers.In these backgrounds, with meta analysis, this study is an analyzed summary of Chinese affective teaching status from 2001 to 2009. The study obtains affective teaching summary results and forecasts its trend through analyzing and researching their manifestations, identities of researches, targets, function, methods, relative concept of affective teaching, research topics, areas and results. Meta-analysis is essentially a method of literature review to evaluate and research literature reviews in a quantitive way, analyzing numerous studies with measurement and statistical analysis techniques so that universal and comprehensive findings are obtained. The general review of current status and existing results is more comprehensive, scientific, objective and accurate, using meta-analysis to collect and organize data basing on statistic principles.The results of Chinese affective teaching research already obtained are as follows. There are more and more Chinese affective researches increasing year by year. Seen from the manifestations of the thesis, they are relatively homogeneous, mainly of experience and discussion types. Chinese affective researchers are comprehensive, leading by the front line teachers, including elementary school, high school and vocational school teachers. Moreover, administrative managements positively take part in the researches. Researching methods are relatively homogeneous.Forecasted research trends extended from current results and status are as follows. Thesis manifestations should be diversified. Increase study on students,for example:More attention should be paid to effective Chinese affective teaching for different ages and levels. Study deeply around current and developing status of student affection. Topics and application areas should be detailed.
