Research On The Strategies Of Foreign Student Education In United States Of America

In the era of economic globalization and knowledge-based economy, internationalization has become to an inevitable trend of higher education development. As one of the most important indicators of internationalization of universities, foreign student education plays a great strategic role in the political, economic and cultural areas. Although United States of America is a young immigration country, whose higher education has definite characters of internationalization from the very beginning,great success has been gained, especially the foreign student education. What reasons are behind these prominent achievements and how they do is focal points of this paper.This paper firstly explored effect factors of the strategies of foreign student education in United States of America through expounding the development of foreign student education: political factor,economic factor,cultural factor and national security factor etc..Secondly, it pointed out several achievements of the strategies by combining with phase characters of foreign student education in USA.By analyzing its strategy goal,main body and content,the paper summarized its strategies'characters of foreign student education.Thirdly,the paper addressed some problems and challenges of foreign student education of USA based on above research.Finally,some reveals form this research were made to help us enhance china's foreign student education.
