Design And Implementation Of Portal For Medical Virtual Learning Community Based On Web2.0

With the further development of E-education, E-Learning Environment has become an important construction content for E-education. Virtual Learning Community (VLC) is one of the digital learning environments, which was formed by the interaction of learner and learning environment under the action of Information Communication Technology (ICT). In essence, VLC has the common characteristics of both learning environment and learner organization, and has five strata structure models, which are information infrastructure layer, information resources layer, application layer, supporting Service layer and user layer. It is widely used for formal and informal learning in college schools. As a kind of complex system, VLC needs a portal that can be used as a central display window to show resource, and a platform used to support interaction for users.However, it is difficult to find learning companions, establish a sense of belonging, and share learning resource on the VLC portal based on Web1.0, the three difficult problems become a bottleneck of the application of VLC. Web2.0 brought a new technique revolution to the Internet, and also changed the learning environment, learners and learning process. Its micro-content-reused, user-centered, user strong participation features can be used to solve problems in VLC Portal based on Web1.0. According to the Maslow's hierarchy of needs, the author proposed a VLC portal model which contains data layer, application layer and the signify layer.Depended on the case of the Fourth Military Medical University (FMMU), the author designed a medical VLC portal, which is combined by the community structure of the medical VLC and E-teaching business of FMMU. Then the UCenter Home is used to realize the portal signify layer and the application layer which involves five founction modules, such as information intelligence services, individuality room, cooperate and exchange, incentive mechanism and the information security mechanism. In addition, the author organized some volunteers to use the portal.In the end of this paper, the author put forward some unresolved problems and presents prospects of the research subject.
