Strength is the foundation of various exercises. How to take strength training in a scientific way has always been focused by the coaches, athletes and the physical education researchers. At present, the foreign researches usually focus on the combination of strength ways and the training method while the researches of the morphology, the conditions and the nature of the muscles as well as the differences between developments of the muscles with similar movement structure but different names are seldom found. Besides, the effects of muscles described in the various textbooks of Sports science and Mind-body Fitness are very ambiguous in our country. The conclusions are often drawn from the inferences of the research of the touch of living, body anatomy, electricity stimulation to a single muscle as well as some loss of muscle function after paralysis. Considering the practical needs of the strength training, a test was held that 15 students from the major of body-building in Beijing Sports University joined. The test is on the sitting pull-down and pull-up and the 15 testers took different loads and grip's pull-down and pull-up by using the theory of anatomical analysis and the analytical tools of sEMG. The following conclusions and are drawn from the analysis of some indicators of sEMG in which muscles working on different conditions in the test.1.The muscles on the near of the fixed bones play more important role than others. It's suggest that the pull-down is focused on the traning of the shoulders muscles, while the pull-up traning is focused on the traning of the elbows muscles.2.The absolute quantity and the relative proportion of motor units which are collected by the muscles is influenced by working condition. It shows that both the concentric and the eccentric contraction step of the movements are comparatively larger on the distal fixed condition. It's suggest that the pull-up is better than pull-down on a relatively consistent small load. 3.The increase of the grip width leads very obvious differences of muscles on different working condition. In the contrast, the increase of load has less influence on the muscle features on different working conditions. It's suggest that we should better choose the pull-up by increasing the grip width, and choose pull-down or pull-up by increasing the load to get better training effects.4.The order and duration of the surface Electromyography shows large differences of individuals on different fixed conditions. The change of the grip distance compared to the change of load has less influence on the order and duration. It's suggest that to get better training effects by the same action training of pull-up or pull-down, the increase of load is in superior to grip width.
