Chinese Classics Reading, that is to read the most valuable classic books of the Chinese culture or even the world's culture. Since 2002, Dongguan city has become the first batch experimental area of the national new curriculum reform. Now we are stepping into the key years of the second round's curriculum reform But the writer finds that there is still a far cry from the new curriculum reform to the national requirements of quality education. Especially the young people's moral education and the spirit of the new curriculum are seemingly in harmony but actually at variance. So it is precisely that to the Classics Reading can play an irreplaceable role in filling gaps. The environment that we face today is such complicated and even less impetuous and harmonious, accompany with the social development. This is an inalienable obligation and duty of our educational workers to lay the foundation for students'culture and humanities quality. So as to promote Chinese traditional culture in the new period. We gained great inspiration and guidance from the success of effective educational movement of Chinese Classics Reading, which is introduced by Professor Wang Caigui in 1994 in Taiwan. China has a long history of five thousand years. The Chinese nation could preserve thousands of years, but not abandoned by the world. That is undoubtedly because of the tremendous power generated by its traditional culture and education. This article is mainly elaborated from the following aspects:the background of the "Children's Classics Reading"; the practical significance of the "Children's Classics Reading" for education; the practice and the exploration of the "Children's Classics Reading"; and the educational effect of the "Children's Classics Reading ". In order to make people more clearly understand the educational effectiveness and the age influence of this educational reform activities, the writer took his own school as a case to analysis and example this point. Since that the sub-subjects of "Students of traditional Chinese cultural and educational research", which is the Guangdong Province 10·15 key planning issues, has being undertaken by my school, Chinese classics has produced beautiful ripples in the hearts of students just like a river in the past three years. Chinese Classics Reading became a beautiful view on the campus. The subject of experiment has strongly promoted the implementation of quality education and curriculum reform. It is also conducive to create a harmony school and scholarly campus. We are acquiring some gratifying results through the "Classic Reading Project". First, Children's vocabulary is being increased rapidly; Second, children's reading and writing skills are being improved obviously; Third, children's memory attention and moral character have been all-round increased and. It can be said that students language literacy has been increasingly richened by the Chinese Classics Reading experimental subject, and so that all aspects were developed. Also the quality of teachers has also been greatly improved.
