With fast development of science and technology, in the era of knowledge-based economy, internet turns into an important means to acquire knowledge. The UNESCO put forward life-long education and our sixth Congress clearly stated the aim of creating a learning society, both of which give priority to self-regulated learning. College students show a lack of purpose, efficiency and a self-regulated system in self-regulated learning. It is a crucial issue to explore the way to increase efficiency in self-regulated learning with rich internet resources.Under the influence of constructivist theory and the theory of multiple intelligence assessment, the electronic portfolio began to be widely applied in teaching and become an important auxiliary tool. E-portfolio can keep full track of a student's study process and path of growth. Besides, the portfolio is capable of giving a true assessment of a student's learning activities and progress. This paper studies e-portfolio from the perspective of self-regulated learning and internet learning in the hope that e-portfolio play a large role in internet-based informational education, in which learning activities are monitored and self-regulated learning enhanced. This paper's work falls into four respects.1. Theoretical study. The theoretical basis for self-regulated learning through e-portfolio is studied, including constructivist theory, self-learning theory and evaluation theory. Moreover, a model of self-regulated learning based on e-portfolio is proposed with the features of self-regulated learning and that of e-portfolio taken into account.2. Design and implementation. The new portfolio system is designed and implemented in a way which has Blog as its platform to support teaching practice, which also serves to promote students'exchanges and give process appraisal.3. Teaching practice. Following the model of self-regulated learning based on e-portfolio, subjects are selected for experiments, teaching experiments are designed and self-regulated learning activities are carried out so that appraisal of process and development are included into teaching practice.4. Result analysis. Through statistical analysis of web polls and evaluation of Blog messages, the research result is acquired comprehensively. E-portfolio as a teaching method and a means of teaching appraisal plays an important role in promoting students'learning and improving their self-learning ability.
