Tangshan Present Status Of Urban School After-school Sports Activities

Extra-curricular sports activity is an important part of the physical education in the middle school. It is a way to improve students'fitness and health, enrich the cultural life on campus, bring up the interest of students on sports. The purpose of this thesis is to innovate and plan the teaching of extra-curricular sports activities in Tangshan middle schools through research surveys intensively, meet the needs of students in physical exercise, to lay the foundation for the implementation of lifelong sports.In this paper, literature, questionnaire surveys, access investigation, mathematical statistics and logical analysis are utilized to investigate the status of extra-curricular sports activity in Tangshan middle schools. The research shows as the following:1. Morning exercises and kejiancao activities are carried out better in TangShan middle school . The morning exercises are carried out in 78.57% of the schools in TangShan. Kejian Cao are carried out in 85.71% of the schools. 50% of the schools have the extra-curricular sports activities. Track and Field Games are held two times a year (spring and autumn) in 92.85 percent of schools, but the after-school sports competitions are carried out improperly, only 36.4% of schools have after-school sports competitions, 63.6% of the schools do not have.2. The time and frequency of extra-curricular sports activities is obviously inadequate, the main reason is that the students'burden of study are heavy, especially for senior middle school students.3. 83.67% of Tangshan middle school students like and prefer extra-curricular sports activities, only 16.33% do not .Generally students want to have a longer time on extra-curricular sports activities each day.4. The sites for middle school students in extra-curricular sports are mainly in schools and public places free of charge.5. The projects which high school students choose to participate in extra-curricular sports activities are mainly based on their interests, and only the third-year students in junior middle school conduct physical examination test items in the extra-curricular sports activities.6. Most of the equipments in school stadium can not meet the needs of the students, which to some extent, reduce the enthusiasm of the students participating in extra-curricular sports activities.Based on the status quo of the extra-curricular sports activity in TangShan middle schools , some suggestions are put forward as follows:1. Due to the impact of test-oriented education, we pursuit the rate of further education in one-sided view, intellectual education are paid more attention than on physical education. Because of lack of comprehensive understanding on the role of the physical education in middle school, that leads to our poor organization for carrying out extra-curricular sports activities. With the deepening of education reform and the full implementation of quality education, extra-curricular sports activities should be treated as a key task to improve the system and to ensure the school extra-curricular sports activities to be standardized and scientific one. All levels of education departments should strengthen the management and supervision of all secondary schools to change their concepts, cultivating the talent to meet the needs of the times. Yearly for the athletic meet in the middle schools, it is recommended to break the traditional events, increasing some interesting projects appropriately, such as the caring the ball game, slow riding bicycles. Not always a small number of students participate in, most of students visiting. You can set some ordinary students participate in the project. Teachers can also be involved. Right after-school sports competitions, Whether in the contents or in the forms, it should be diversified to mobilize the enthusiasm of the students. Appropriately increasing the proportion of the group events competitions to train students to cooperate, so that all students can experience the joy of sports.2. The school leaders should change their views of education and establish a "health first" mentality, truly recognize the importance of school physical education. Then they should develop and implement a series of policies to effectively reduce the academic burden on students, so that students can have more time to carry out physical exercise. Organizing a variety of sports activities to promote physical and mental-round development of the students. Strengthening the physical education, thus the secondary school students have time to exercise and improve the efficiency and quality of extra-curricular activities. Give full play to the role of physical education teachers to stimulate the enthusiasm of students in activities. Teachers should strengthen to educate the students and raise their self-awareness. They can teach students simple exercise of self-training so that each student can find a way suited to their own.3. The schools and the departments in charge must increase investments on sports venues, facilities and equipment and earmark to improve the situation of a serious shortage of equipment so that students have a better training environment. It also requires teachers to make use of existing sports equipment resources in a flexible way to enable all the students to participate in athletic activities.4. Continuously deepening the reform of sports to develop the students awareness of life-long physical exercise. The interests and habits in sport in the premise to promote independent learning and lifelong participation in sports In the teaching process, teachers should change the traditional model of physical education, let students change from passive "wanted me to learn" becomes "I want to learn". Playing the dominant role of students fully, the teachers should arouse the enthusiasm of students to participate in physical exercise so as to develop their interest in physical exercise. The teaching content should be rich, lively and interesting, so that the students can master certain technical skills .It enable every student experience the fun in the sport. In this way students maintain a long-term interest in sports and lay the foundation for life-long sport.5. In the organization form of the extra-curricular sports activities,we should play the role of existing communities in the school fully. The club system should be utilized. The various clubs should be established, each club equipped with the appropriate physical education teachers. They are responsible for the activities and guidance for students. According to their own favorite sports the students are assigned various clubs .This breaks the grade and class boundaries, fully developing the specialty of the students and enables the students fully experience the fun in the extra-curricular sports activities.
