In the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, with Yao Ming as the core, Chinese Men's Basketball Team won the eighth place under the leadership of Kazlauskas. They embarked the positive attitude of fighting recklessly, treated every competition seriously and finally broke out from the"group of death". The audience and basketball fans all expressed their praise and approval to this team because of the members'fighting spirit and perseverance which they showed during the competition.In the Beijing Olympic Games, the Chinese men's basketball team showed that its mental outlook and the overall level had made a great progress than the past. So the gap between the stronger teams in the world and the Chinese team gradually narrowed. The Chinese team already had contended with the world teams. It is excited, however, the Chinese Men's Basketball, even under favorable conditions, can not achieve a historic breakthrough. When people think about the reasons they can not help feeling sorry. The 3rd bit forward players' weakness and unstable is the major factor of men's basketball lost So it is still a long way for the Chinese Men's Basketball Team to become the world-class team .The thesis adopts some research methods, such as literature review, expert interviews, video observation, mathematical statistics, and logical analysis and so on. Though comparison and analysis of players'offensive capability in Beijing Olympic Games, gaps and deficiencies will be identified. Also, feasible suggestions are proposed. Thus the thesis provides theoretical basis and references for enhancing offensive capability and competence to achieve better results and achieve coordinated development of the whole team.
