The Study On Problems Of Moral Emotion Cultivation In English Teaching Of Junior Schools And Possible Solutions

Through the observation and interviews, the author found that in the process of the practice of the reform and opening, junior-high students in Shenzhen advocate western culture blindly and ignore the understanding of their own culture; strongly self-centered and lack of cooperation spirit; have little sense of responsibility in common life and lack of the collective consciousness. The formation of junior-high students'outlook on life, values and world outlook is in a critical period. In order to help them to be a nice person with good personality, moral emotion education becomes urgent.English as a means of international exchange has penetrated into every aspect of students'life. English teaching has become an important part of school education. Due to the failure of the school and family moral education, combining moral emotion education with teaching has become the development trend of moral education. English teachers should dig the teaching materials deeply, guide their students timely and accurately, enlighten their interest, enrich their life experience and enhance their humanities. In this way, students have developed their language knowledge and skills as well as their ideas, morality and behavior.The study starts from explaining the meaning of English teaching and moral emotions, discussing the relationship between English teaching and cultivation of moral emotions and analyzing the significance of cultivating moral emotions from three aspects. It attempts to put forward suggestions which target at moral emotion problems of junior high school students during their English learning process from material-digging, the demonstrative role of teachers and the selection of proper teaching methods and etc. It aims to give direction to English teaching, and provide reference for moral emotion cultivation.
