Education is the basic of the great project, and the teacher is the basic of education. The research and the practice indicate that a high quality teacher troop is the safeguard to improve the education quality. However, teachers'health condition has not obtained people's correct understanding. Until the recent years many famous teachers die young, everybody begins to pay attention to teachers' healthy problem. This article takes the Shao Yang middle school teachers as the object of study, uses the literature material, the interview, the questionnaire survey, mathematical statistic methods and so on, as well as analyzes and investigates Shao Yang middle school teachers participating in the physical training present situation. The urban middle school teachers physical training percentage participating, the participation project, the exercise place, the exercise form, the fitness project, the sports expense, the influencing factor and so on are mainly analyzed. The purpose is of providing the theory basis for the middle school teachers' scientific fitness and the reliable human resources safeguard for the middle school education and society's sustainable development, which has certain practical and theory significance for developing and promote education.1. The overall situation that teachers of middle school in Shaoyang city participate in the sports fitness exercise is good, but lack of scientificalness and durability.2. Teachers of secondary school in Shaoyang city motivated to participate in physical exercise showed a significant gender differences, Male teachers to participate in physical activity is mainly for entertainment, and female teachers is mainly for losing weight.3. The main sports place choiced are the unit community, the fitness office, the public sports place and so on. The male and female teacher also show certain differences 4. The main forms are flexible, such as "doing exercises with your friends and colleagues", "having physical training with your family", "personal physical training" and so on. Male teacher like doing exercises with their friends and colleagues, and female teacher prefer to doing it alone.5. Teacher's sports consumption level is low and the consumption structure is simple in middle school in Shaoyang city. The consumption of material production is emphasized while the consumption of immaterial sports production is ignored.Fitness investment consciousness and the sports expense idea is weak, so it is important to enlarge the sports fitness knowledge the popularization, guide the middle school teacher's health investment consciousness and the sports expense idea correctly.6. The main reason influencing the teacher of middle school of Shaoyang to participate in fitness activity is that the working pressure is heavy, lacks the time; the inertia; having no interests, lack of the exercise knowledge and the technical guidance; lacks the organized activities.Suggestion:1. Enhance the propaganda of "Outline of the nationwide body-building plan" and the education about all-people body-building2. The relevant governmental sector should enlarge funding for mass sports, creating the hardware and software facilities for teacher participate in Physical training.3. Every middle school in Shaoyang city should places the promotion of teacher participating in physical exercise on the agenda4. Carrying out the secondary school teachers'Sport club, teaching teachers physical education and some of the basic knowledge and skills5. The school should regularly hold the national competition in which the middle school teacher participate, designing more small and popular activities, playing the role of group-contest, promoting and stimulating more teachers participate in the sports.
