The relationship between education and income have get a great concern by the researchers of educational economics in recent years. This paper based on the practical background which the difference of current educational level and the gradually widening income discrepancy of china's urban and rural residents, and mainly based on the human capital theory, income inequality theory, income distribution theory and the theory of dual economic structure,which try to discussion and analysis the impaction of educational discrepancy effect on the income discrepancy between urban and rural residents. On the basis of the status quo of the educational and income discrepancy between urban and rural residents,we illustrate that educational discrepancy impact on income discrepancy which mainly through two ways:First is the rate of return to education.the improvement of rate of return to education effect on the income is negative, it will increase inequality in income inequality. And in the real labor market, workers of different education levels, differences in wages, and this discrepancy is widening; second is the educational distribution.In theory, the equal distribution of education is beneficial to reduce the income inequality discrepancy, but urban-rural dual economic structure in china at this stage, but the labor market and related mechanisms are imperfect, making the effects of educational discrepancy on the income discrepancy not significant.To better explore the role of mechanism of educational discrepancy (independent variable) affect the income discrepancy (dependent variable), this paper choosing the relevant data and indicators, compared eastern, central, western representative of the province with the national average, analysis and test the linear regressional relationship between the educational discrepancy and the income discrepancy. However in this empirical analysis, the ratio of the average schooling years of urban and rural residents in Nationwide,Gansu and Guizhou in west which have an positive effect on the income discrepancy. But the ratio of the average schooling years of urban and rural residents that impact on the urban-rural income ratio is not significant in eastern provinces such as Beijing, Shandong and in central provinces such as Hunan, Shanxi, This is because the factors affecting the income discrepancy are multi-angle,and education is not the only factors, combined index selection and processing of data is also relatively thin, these are likely to affect the conclusions.View from the three regions, the rural-urban educational discrepancy in west is greater than the eastern and central, and have a relatively greater influence on the income discrepancy And on the whole, the education level,income levels and distribution patterns of three regions which are different, the highest in eastern, central second, while the western region is lagging behind. Therefore, the state must continue to support and develop education, raise people's overall educational level, improve and narrow the income discrepancy, and realize the equitable income distribution. Particularly, continue to increase the investment and support efforts of education in the western region,develop education and increase the cultural quality of population in western poor areas from a strategic perspective. It is significance to the achievement of balanced social and economic development, improve the wide urban-rural discrepancy and the regional pattern of income distribution between urban and rural areas.
