Since the issue and implement of The Decision on the Reform of Education System by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China in 1985,the middle education of our country has gradually formed dual track structure,which consists of the middle vocational education and general middle school education.The features of the managerial system of Chinese schools illustrate the head teachers'irreplaceable role in students'life and study,and the fostering objective,the teaching features,the students' characteristics of middle vocational education decide that head teachers should give more patience,more time and more efforts to their work.Therefore,for many reasons,many teachers of middle vocational schools don't want to work as a head teacher,which is very harmful to students'study and growth,to teachers'physical and mental health,to sustainable development of schools.It is a research of realistic significance to investigate and improve the disadvantageous factors influencing head teachers'work in their working environment.In middle vocational schools,the soft environment is easier overlooked than the hard en vironment in head teachers'work for it is invisible,but the impact of the former to head teachers' working condition and result is extensive,deep and direct.This paper,taking A Technical School of Guangdong Province as an example,studies the soft environment of head teachers'work systematically from the central point of head teachers'work of middle vocational schools.It analyses the structure and function of the soft environment of head teachers,points out that each of the six basic factors of soft environment of head teachers(They are ideology of students,values of teachers'work,managerial system of head teachers,managerial system of students,managerial relations,relations between teachers and students)has its problems respectively in the construction and development. It analyses the causes from three aspects of the influence of social environment,view in school,construction level of managerial system.Finally,it puts forwards everal concrete measures and plans of improving soft environment of head teachers'work,that is to take renewing the idea of the campus as our guide,take heightening students'whole quality as basis,take enhancing the management of schools as guarantee.
