Epistemological beliefs, a newly developed topic metacognition research and a concept employed by psychologists when conducting epistemological studies in view of psychological perspectives, are defined as the internal surroundings of learners concerned with studying activities. Comparatively an independent beliefs system, it makes students'knowledge views (beliefs in essence of knowledge and knowledge acquisition) its central concept. With theoretical denotative in relation to students'beliefs in studies, teaching and capability , epistemological beliefs play a instruction and regulation role in students'cognitive processing and learning behaviors.Teaching beliefs are defined as the views and comprehensions of teachers about teachers teaching knowledge, students studying knowledge and essence of knowledge. The teachers' Teaching beliefs would influence the understandings about instructional theory and teaching experiences, and the teaching plan, ever control the teaching behaviors.After defining the conceptions of epistemological beliefs and Teaching beliefs are reviewing contemporary researches and their future directions, the author investigated the factors and relationship between epistemological beliefs and Teaching beliefs. It is conductive to further acquaintance with cognitive mechanism in students'learning process. Improving Teaching beliefs through changing students'epistemological beliefs, this research aims at the availability of theoretical proofs to practical instruction and educational reforms.Through the correlative research on factors and relationship between epistemological beliefs and Teaching beliefs with 244 student teachers sampling from Northeast Normal University, the results are as follows:1. On the whole, student teachers'epistemological beliefs and Teaching beliefs are positive.2. There are no significant gender differences in Student teachers'epistemological beliefs and Teaching beliefs.3. There are no significant major differences in Student teachers'epistemological beliefs and Teaching beliefs.4. There exits significant positive correlation between epistemological beliefs and Teaching beliefs in gender.5. Though there don't exit relevance in some dimensions in major, as a whole there is positive relevance between epistemological beliefs and Teaching beliefs.
