Geographical science inquiry learning aims at making students acquire necessary knowledge on this subject and master the basic scientific methodology, thus lay a solid foundation for lifelong learning.Through scientific inquiry learning, students can solve actual geographical problems, continually enhance the desire to gain some insight into the unknown world and upgrade the capacity of students to engage in scientific inquiry. It will pave a good way for scientific achievements in students'future geographical research, thus promote the continuous progress of geographical science.The essay mainly includes five parts:Introduction:Scientific inquiry learning emphasizes scientific inquiry and focus on the use of natural science basic approach to discover and solve problems. Geographical science inquiry learning includes two meanings:one is inquiry learning in scientific disciplines (geography), the other is to acquire knowledge, develop ability and understand scientific thinking by scientific methods such as hypothesis, observation, experimentation, validation, and statistics.Chapter one:the history of scientific inquiry learning. Inquiry concept has a long history. It can be dated back to the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates "Midwife," but there is less than a century for the real inquiry into the tutorial to learn science. At present, scientific inquiry in the elementary school has been a general policy of the worldwide education reform, and scientific inquiry has become the common concept of all the scientific disciplines.Chapter two:the survey of middle school geographical science inquiry learning. The survey is mainly to know about the current situation of scientific learning in senior middle school geography and provide some realistic evidence for geographical science inquiry learning in middle school.Chapter three:the design of geographical science inquiry learning in middle school. A good scientific inquiry activity should have several main features such as the feasibility of the subject, valuable inquiry content, contextualized inquiry approach, meaningful inquiry value, moral inquiry sentiment, and sustainable inquiry space. Scientific inquiry learning should follow general logic processes such as raising the question, making suppositions, planning, finding evidence, analyzing, and finally expressing, the processes are not fixed when we solve problems, for science is always engaged in a non-linear progress.Chapter four:the implementation ways of geographical science inquiry learning in middle school. It mainly discusses the functions of geographical science inquiry learning for developing the geographical science qualities, understanding geographical scientific knowledge, improving geographical scientific skills, mastering geographical scientific research methods, fostering the spirit of scientific inquiry and promoting thinking quality. It also includes the strategies in implementing geographical science inquiry learning activities in the form of cases. The strategies are geographic experiment, and integration with information technology, and life science association with daily life.Chapter five:On the thinking of geographical science inquiry learning.
