In 2021,General Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China issued the Outline of the Plan of Action for the Quality of Science for All(2021-2035),which highlighted the importance of inquiry-based teaching in the primary school science curriculum. The publication of this document not only marks that science teaching should completely get rid of the barriers of the previous fixed teaching and turn to the paradigm transformation of inquiry teaching, but also represents that science teaching should pay more attention to the inquiry teaching situation and teaching life.At the same time, inquiry teaching has also made great progress on the basis of constructivism and contextualism. On the basis of inheriting the main contents of constructivism,Contextualism and activity theory, cles theory aims to establish a new idea of learning environment design mode. Therefore, there is the same value attribution between Les theory and inquiry teaching, which provides the construction and expansion of a new teaching paradigm for scientific inquiry learning in primary schools.Taking problem solving as the main line, the LES theoretical model guides learners to construct an internship field supported by activity theory in the social and cultural context, and infiltrates meaningful learning into the design of various elements of the framework,so as to finally promote learners to form an appropriate mental model. It can guide primary school scientific inquiry activities, pay attention to the design of learning environment, improve the specificity of primary school scientific inquiry activities, and improve the interactive objectives of primary school students in inquiry activities. This study puts forward the design of primary school scientific inquiry learning activities based on the theoretical framework of LES,which takes the core elements and process design as the two starting points. In primary school scientific inquiry learning activities, taking the six elements of Les as the core elements, this paper analyzes and designs the problem design of inquiry activities, the experience design of inquiry activities, the experience space design of inquiry activities, the tool design of inquiry activities, the communication and discussion design of inquiry activities, and the reflection and evaluation design of inquiry activities. The process of primary school scientific inquiry learning activities is based on the process and main contents of primary school scientific inquiry activities, and integrates the theoretical contents of classes such as situation, operation space, activity experience, information space and so on.The thesis is divided into four parts:The first part discusses the reason for selecting the topic for this study, the current status of the study, the purpose and significance of the study, the research ideas and methods, and the definition of core concepts. The second part provides a comprehensive introduction to Jonathan's theory of constructivist learning environment design(CLEs)at three levels: the formulation and main ideas of the theory, the design framework of the theory, and the implications for the design of primary school science inquiry activities, and uses this as the theoretical basis for this study. The third part focuses on the core elements of primary school science inquiry learning activities and explores the use of CLEs theory as a basis for designing a process model for primary school science inquiry learning activities to guide the field of primary school science inquiry instructional design towards learning environment design, integration with the design of primary school students' science inquiry activities, and improvement of primary school students' interaction in inquiry activities. The forth part attempts an extended extension of the CLEs design, using the design of an inquiry-based teaching of The Beautiful Botanical Garden as an example,in order to demonstrate the rationalisation of the design of primary school science inquiry learning activities based on CLEs theory.
