Since the 1980s, reflective teaching became an efficient way to promote teachers'professional development, and concerned focus of education in foreign counties. In China, with a new round of the basic education reform, more and more people pay attention to the effect of reflective teaching which helps to improve teachers'growth and optimize teaching practice. So, the research about reflective teaching has profound theoretical and practical significance.The present thesis is consisted of four chapters. Chapter 1 introduces the research background, purpose, significance, content, methods, and defines the core concepts of this thesis. Chapter 2 reviews the foreign and domestic literature of the research on the reflective teaching. Chapter 3 investigates the middle school teachers'reflective teaching present situation. The conclution is:First, a majority of teachers understand the significance and function of reflective teaching, but the cognition has some bias, some teachers lack the awareness of using reflective notion in teaching practice; teachers'reflective has roundly include teaching values, teaching practice and teaching environment; the approaches and methods are simplex, teachers'reflection is effective before class and after class, but in class, it still existing some deficiencies. There are significant differences on reflective teaching in teachers'different schools, school ages, educational backgrounds and professional titles.Second, there are subjective factors and objective factors are influence teachers'reflective teaching. The subjective factors include teachers'attitude, knowledge and tactics of reflection, the objective factors include schools'atmosphere and institutions.Third, teachers should be formed well cognitions of reflective teaching, and make efforts to be reflective teachers. Include that learning speculative knowledge, gaining and accumulating practical knowledge, improving the ability to using reflection tactics and so on. Society and schools should be provide good conditions for reflective teaching. Include that creating reflective environment, setting up some institutions and carrying some effective training for teachers.This thesis through investigation and analysis of reflective teaching present situation, tries to provide the theory and the practice basis for improving teachers'teaching level and professional development.
