Both the actual situation and the historical task of building a well-off society in an all-round way require that ideological and political educators consider improving the effectiveness of ideological and political education among university students as historical task.The effectiveness of ideological and political education among university students, with its own characteristics, displays as the degree to which university students accept the goal of ideological and political education and the level of their external behavior. The assessment of the effectiveness of ideological and political education among university students requires scientific criteria and principles.The current situation of the effectiveness of ideological and political education among university students is generally good, but some problems may also exist, such as the diversity and pluralism of the thought and belief, fuzzy and biased political ideas, display of self-consciousness, trend of materialism, higher educational level against lower quality of civilization, increasing psychological problems and so on. These are caused by both the problems of the university ideological and political education and the personal factors of main body of university students.To strengthen the effectiveness of ideological and political education among university students, theoretically speaking, first, the macroscopical modes of thoughts of ideological and political education should be unified under one guiding ideology, one unified subject system, one direction and one teaching syllabus of the basic theory courses. Second, the implementation model should be built in actual organization and operation, including improving the current system of ideological and political education, focusing on the construction of the team; exploring the potential advantage of the Alumni Association and creating the volunteer team of the ideological and political education. Third, the implementation management model should be built in actual organization and operation, which includes updating the ideas, operating in a scientific way, stressing the main channel and broadening the road of ideological and political education. Fourth, the assessment model should be built to test the effectiveness of the ideological and political education among the university students. To be specific, the scientific index system of the assessment should be built to review the general performance of the university students at the critical or special moment. The principle of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, the incentive effect and the moderate principle should be followed in the actual implementation with no avoidance of the existing problem and the emphasis of the practice. |
