This study utilized a qualitative phenomenological research method, exampled eight young students from Qingchuang County,who transfered to a secondary school in a city in Sichuan Province, to explore the significance of social support for Qingchuang students'mental recovery,by understanding the effects on them and their subjective experience of social support networks in different periods of the earthquake.The study includes:Based on Qingchuang students'basic life context, descripted and analyzed the effects on them and their subjective experience of social support networks in different periods of the earthquake,to discover the relationship between social support networks and their mental recovery.At the end,discussed how the social work profession can involve in students'mental recovery,including the space and method.Findings were as follows:In post-disaster reconstruction period, the more social support network young people subjectively felt, the better their psychological recovery, on the contrary, the less social support network young people subjectively felt, the worse their psychological recovery,and they will be easy to suffer from PTSD symptoms; if the adolescent haved more severe trauma,and PTSD symptoms have occurred, regardless of the level of social support, post-disaster mental recovery will be difficult.The study founding aboved inspired disaster youth social work in China, the author particularly advanced we should combine students'informal social support networks and formal social support networks.
