Exploration Of Difficult Situation For Medical Majors' Employment And Its Resolutions

For instance, finding a job becomes more and more difficult for medical graduates. Though graduates with other majors also meet such difficulty in job hunting, medical graduates encounter more challenges, with its multiple graduates, higher qualification requirement of profession and limited fields to chose. Such difficulty for medical graduates is a very complicated social problem caused both by subjective factors as well as objective ones such as student himself, family, medical institutes, employers and society. Above all, the unsuccessful reform in Medical Education is the root, with its incompleteness, lack of thoroughness, and inappropriateness. What's more, factors such as medical students'backward attitude towards job-hunting, weak mind, depreciation of faith and sincerity and poor qualification in employment contribute a lot to their job-hunting difficulty. At present, the main culprits behind it are quick increase of medical student enrollment, improper training structure, decreasing qualification, the employment guide needs further improving, plus the factors mentioned above.To meet such challenge, cooperation is required among government, higher educational institutes, employers, parents and students, especially government and higher educational institutes. The reform of medical institutes should focus on not only students'qualification training, but also the final phase of education ---- helping graduates find a job, with its strong sense of responsibility and sound policies. To solve this problem, following policies are recommended: eliminating bad influence of industrialized education, improving image of medical institutes in the public, setting correct training goals for medical students, stopping increasing the enrollment of medical students, combining medical institutes with comprehensive universities, improving students job-hunting ability and professional skills, bettering employment aid services to medical students.In summary, with the even-keen competition in employment for medical students, they must change their backward attitude towards employment with a better understanding, adjust their mind and place themselves in correct roles, continually improve comprehensive skills by themselves, bravely meet challenges in the market economy in order to get an ideal position in job- hunting.
