As early as 1961, the state elite martial arts as a national tradition of sport in school physical education curricula, today, over 50 years. Throughout these decades, however, the martial arts teaching development, indicating that the development of Wushu has been robust, thriving, and according to the survey of teaching practice, a large number of students in martial arts classes that are "not like the martial arts like Wushu" and, based on student feedback on teaching martial arts found in a large part of the student to complete a martial arts class that can not master basic skills in martial arts and martial arts only nice to be useful that the superfluous and difficult to learn martial arts and difficult training to become general students a common understanding of martial arts, martial arts into the teaching development of unprecedented development has been the bottleneck. I for Chongqing university, selected as the object of study in 10 universities, using literature data, questionnaire, expert interviews and statistics such as colleges and universities in Chongqing to investigate teaching of martial arts. Found that martial arts teaching content old single, martial arts teachers, theory and practice of teaching is relatively out of touch, martial arts venue equipment and facilities aging, enthusiasm of the students is low, teaching methods can not meet the development of the times, and based on student interests and needs, combined with state physical education policies and regulations to raise the content of teaching martial arts, martial arts teaching methods. Teaching martial arts in order to solve the practical problems encountered in practice. That "selection routine, prominent martial, emphasizing application of" Selected principles of martial arts teaching content, and according to different groups of students to choose a different course content to meet individual differences, teaching content to fill the martial arts students can not meet the contemporary needs of vacancies. Chongqing region for students interested in the characteristics and needs of martial arts teaching strategies to colleges and universities in Chongqing to provide a theoretical basis for teaching martial arts.
