The Research On Sustainable Development Of The City Community College In Our Country

The community college is an important carrier for lifelong education. It is a positive way to perfect lifelong education system and construct learning society. The city community college in our country has already developed for more than ten years and begun to take shape, but it also exposed some problems. The starting point and purpose of this study is how to solve these problems and promote sustainable development of the city community college in our country.Firstly, this thesis defines the concept of community,community college and sustainable development, meanwhile illustrates the connotation of sustainable development of the community college and further points out that the three elements of sustainable development of the community college, which contains position element, system element and resource element. Then this thesis takes Chengdu Qingyang District Community College of Sichuan Province as an example, analyzing and concluding the school-running characteristics and existing problems of this community college based on the empirical investigation of its mode, development ideas, management system, sources of funding, teachers and education forms. Finally, the author thinks about the reform and development of community colleges from the perspective of sustainable development, simultaneously combines with the three elements (position, system, resource) of sustainable development of the community college and proposes some countermeasures and suggestions from three aspects:making clear the function and position of the city community college in our country, establishing and improving the safeguard mechanism of sustainable development of the city community college in our country, excavating the internal driving force of sustainable development of the city community college in our country. The author expects they can provide some useful reference and enlightenment for the further development of the city community college in China.
