Computer Excitation Control System Driver Exploiture Based On PCI Bus

Synchronous Motor is an important device in modern power station system. Its function has direct effected .on the efficiency of whole station. It is effective that excitation system, which controlled by computer, is realized. The data acquisition is pivotal to realize this system. But the driver of the data acquisition card as a difficult part of the system is often neglected by the designer and often brings us some trouble.Device driver is used as the interface from hard device to application soft. Its efficiency restricts the communication between computer and hard device. The robust and portable of the soft system is influenced by it too. So the device driver is associated tightly with the hard interface and the soft system. But at the first, the device driver is attribute to the category of the system program. It is based on the operation system. So it depends on operation system. The second, as the special function part of the hard device the device driver is required of operation hard device. All of these arose serious trouble for us.Conventional non-graphical interfaces system and virtual device driver was eliminated through selection and contest. Windows Device Model (WDM) will become the tideway. It is need to develop WDM driver.Interface of the PCI bus on this system is discussed in this paper. Configuration space and time sequence is special discussed. And then the PCI interface control chip of S5933 is introduced. At the next, the architect of the operation system, etc. the run condition of the device driver, is analyzed. It is special introduced of the processor protect model, Windows2000 system model and system architect. At last, as the most import part, the paper analyzed the WDM soft development.At the part of the driver analyses, the paper begins with the driver entry part and the IRP package, which is hard to be understood in driver. Then the hard initialization (etc the plug and play) is presented. At last the timer and data process is imported in order to control system.Some results are received from the development and be listed on the paper finally.
