In recent years LED technology has been developed very quickly and LED Color Display has been applied widely. The display technology of LED includes micro controller, video, optics mechanics and digital image manipulation etc. In order to improve the defects and solve difficulty of LED display, the author puts forward a new scheme of LED display.ARM and FPGA have been applied in this scheme, and the author has implemented a new system of LED display. By means of this system, the data of the LED display are transmitted in the net. So TCP/IP is an important part in the scheme. This dissertation consists of seven chapters. In Chapter 1 & Chapter 2, the author presents a new scheme of LED display and proves out the possibility of this scheme, and then studies on the methods of implementing the system.In the following two chapters the author analyses how to design an embedded system based on ARM LPC2214, which includes the installation of embedded μ C/OS-Ⅱ and lwIP. This consists of the software and hardware such as designing the driver program of the chipset of RTL8019.In Chapter 5 & Chapter 6, the author introduces EDA technology firstly, and then analyzes the application principle of FPGA, finally recommends the software of QUARTUS-Ⅱ. In LED display, time -to- process ratio is adopted, which makes LED display exhibit different color. Now, as the dissertation has been finished, the new scheme has realized, and through the experiment the new scheme is better than the other one in this field.
