With the development of computer technology especially the technology of micro computer communication and network, the automation of marine engine room system has also developed , from the analogical to the digital . As the application of micro computer in automation of the automation of marine engine room system .The structure of automation of marine engine room system has also developed from centralized monitoring system to distributed controlling system .Since 1990's,the products of ship automation further digitalized .and gradually formed a information system based on network integrated automation system .Because of the application of field bus, the reliability of controlling system has been increased and its structure has become more simple . So the field bus will be widely used in the field of controlling .and also bring a great leap to the automation of automation of marine engine room system .At present, the software of monitor and control , KINGVIEW , as a representative , is now widely applied in all kinds of industries in China for their powerful function and simple operation in the development of items of monitor and control which lead to twice the result with less effort . Also, the favorable performance in practical running is well appraised by the consumers. However, the CAN bus has become the preferred for the high reliability, high performance, good real time performance, its idiographic design and rational cost of the CAN bus agreement. CAN bus has been applied in all automatic control systems. It can be used not only in high speed network, but also the low cost routes connection .For example, in the fields of automobile electron, autocontrol, brainpower edifice, electric power system, security-defense monitor and control. CAN bus has the superiority that can not be compared by others.The article will first give detailed introduction of the basic functions and characters of KINGVIEW and CAN bus, illustrate the hardware makeup, communication agreement and the software realization of the monitoring andcontrolling system composed by KINGVIEW and CAN bus The emphases of the article is to introduce how to realize the communication between CAN sub stations and KingView software, and the software realization of CAN bus powerful communication capability based on the SJA1000 bus controller and the CAN agreement-- CAN2.0A\CAN2.0B .The monitor and control system composed by KINGVIEW and CAN bus has been applied in the project of realtime training engine room carried on by WuHan NANHUA boatyard ,and has achieve good running performance .
