| The digital TV (DTV) is the third generation of products following black-and-white TV and color TV, it is a result which collects the integrated application of high technology, such as digital technology, micro-electronics technique, network technology, software technology, etc. Middleware technology is one of the key technologies in the software technology and can make numerous software providers develop digital TV interactive applications in case of not considering the hardware environment.This thesis chooses the middleware standard for DVB as the analyzing object after comparing the mainstream DTV standard and according to the situation in the market of our nation. After that the thesis mainly focuses on DVB-MHP, which is an actual DTV middleware standard in the market, and makes an in-depth analyze on model of DVB-MHP.Java platform is the core for the model of DVB-MHP. Through analyzing in depth Java platform' composition and operation principle of Java virtual machine (JVM), the thesis has put forward the scheme of realizing KVM by way of hardware of FPGA combining the principle and system structure of KVM which is suitable for embedded environment. According to the requirement of DTV, we clip KVM properly to fit the embedded environment of DTV. Then, five modules, which are fulfilled by the VHDL, are also discussed.We also present some background information of EDA, PLD devices in this thesis.
