The Design Of Net Video Monitor System Based On MPEG-4 (Server Part)

The article basic on parts of the MPEG-4 arithmetic provided by Mpeg Software Simulation Group, choose Daheng-image Group's DH-MPGE200 video capture card as hardware platform, deeply researched on how to implement Net Video Monitor Server based on MPEG-4. Based on these, video data acquiring and encoding are accomplished by this system.This paper comprises the evolution of video monitoring system, dominating product on current market and related research areas. This research project is proposed base on the study on the latest developments of video monitoring system and the conditions of the laboratory. In this paper, video encoding techniques in common use and the major standards of video encoding are presented in detail.We aimed at the MPEG-4 Standard, detailed depiction the structure of MPEG-4, at the same time, VO Pick_up, VOP encoding, video encoding Scalability of the key technology and some basic technology of mpeg-4 encoding have been analyzed.The software includes two parts: one is video acquiring, the other is video encoding. Both of them have been analyzed in detail. On the basis of studying traditional motion estimation and combining other motion estimation's virtue, the paper has improved the adaptive search algorithm for fast motion estimation. According to the center biased character of the video picture, we improve the traditional diamond search algorithms to the adaptive search algorithm for fast motion estimation. Those improvements include the initial search point and adaptive search modes for the video sequences with different motion. Experiment accounts that the average search speed of this estimating algorithms is about five times of the full search algorithm, but has comparable search accuracy with it.The basic functions of video monitoring system, including video data acquiring, encoding (MPEG-4), searching and playing back are accomplished by this system.
