With the development of microelectronic technology, the embedded system has been widely used in various areas of the family and industry. Its amounts have already far more exceeded all kinds of universal computers. On the other hand, the Internet has become one of the most important foundational information establishments of modern society. It's necessary to realize the remote control, the net measure of the parameters and the information share etc, so an important technology is the realization of embedded TCP/IP protocol stack.In this study, a popular system frame has been introduced, which can be used for the exploitation of most embedded devices. According to the character of the 8-bit MCU's limited resources, we have simplified the TCP/IP protocol family(UDP, ICMP,IP, ARP etc.) and made it running on the 8-bit MCU. In addition, in order to improve the reliability and ensure the stable running of the TCP/IP protocol stack, an embedded RTOS μC/OS-Ⅱ is introduced during the program designing. In this paper, we have described the task scheduler mechanism of the RTOS μC/OS- Ⅱ and discussed the possible problems which we can meet in transplanting OS to W78E516, as well as how to embed the TCP/IP protocol stack in μC/OS-Ⅱ in detail. On the base of the software, we have designed a network MCU data acquisition system, which is made up of 51 series MCU, Ethernet interface chip and A/D and D/A converters etc interface circuits. This system can access the Internet, process analog signals collection and remote transmission.After several months' designing and testing of hardware and software, we have achieved the aim. The accomplishment of this paper is a good foundation for the compatible system to utilize this technology and at the same time it has a great value of reference.
