The Research And Implement Of Access Protocol Of Wireless Local Area Network

With the rapid development and the super advantage of the WLAN, more and more people wish to use it to connect to the internet and it will become a very good accessible mode. Some of the WLAN access protocols such as DCF and PCF are widely used in the Ad hoc network and other networks. The research concerned for the WLAN access protocol is a hot topic in the WLAN field.Under this background, this paper researches the MAC Layer protocol of the WLAN and implements the WLAN access protocol with FPGA. Firstly, this paper introduces the basic knowledge of the WLAN and researches some access protocols such as ALOHA, CSMA/CD and CSMA/CA. According to the above access protocols and the IEEE 802.11a MAC Layer protocol, this paper puts forward a WLAN access protocol and specifies the function of the main module unit of the WLAN access protocol. Secondly, this paper introduces the exploitation software and the design requirement of FPGA. Based on it, this paper presents a scheme to solve the interface of FPGA implementing with peripheral memory which is important to the WLAN access protocol. Finally, this paper makes a more particular introduction to the main idea and workflow of the implementation of the WLAN access protocol with FPGA.
