The combination of computer technology and test technology make a kind of new test instrument—virtual instruments. Using virtual instruments technology, we can set up all kinds of automatism test system quickly and expediently. At the same time, we can carry through signal analysis, data processing, saving files and graphic showing utilizing the great function of computer. The combination of virtual instruments technology and network technology expands the application range of virtual instruments to the whole Internet/ Intranet. So that make the signal acquisition, transmitting and dealing with integrated, Furthermore it is not restricted by region or environment. On one hand, it can make a lot of expensive hardware resources shared and fully utilize present laboratory resources; On the other hand, it is also favorable to the development of remote experiment teaching, thereby solving the problem that the remote experiment teaching is difficult to solve. So this paper have researched remote virtual instruments on the network mode, realizing scheme, communication course and performance characteristic, put forward a new framework scheme, and moreover realize the remote virtual instruments system of B/S mode. This paper has analysed the network structure of remote virtual instruments, contrasted the characteristic (system function, system developing, upgrade and maintenance etc) of remote virtual instruments between B/S and C/S mode, and drawn one's own advantage and disadvantage. It has studied various kinds of network technology schemes that NI Company offers to LabVIEW roundly and systematically. The schemes include TCP/IP, VI server and DataSocket, etc., and have realized the remote virtual instruments of B/S, C/S mode respectively. The data processing software has been developed based on the platform of LabVIEW at server. The function includes: data acquisition, data returns put, data pre-processing and spectrum analysis etc. The network developing technology of Java is study deeply, and the virtual instruments front board is developed by Java language. By utilizing AppletVIEW technology, adding the communication sub module of TCP/IP in LabVIEW program, the communication has been realized between Java instruments and LabVIEW. This paper has developed Web page, and imbed Java programs in HTML programs, realized the communication between Java virtual instruments and browser, thus realized the remote virtual instruments of B/S mode.
