Background:Lung cancer is currently one of the most serious disease harm to human health, Chinese cancer statistics report for 2014 reported that lung cancer incidence and mortality are in major sites in China. The biological characteristics of lung cancer are extremely complex, and different histological types on the clinical manifestation, as well as the treatment method and treatment effect are not same, so the prognosis varies considerably. Histological types of lung cancer with squamous carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and small cell carcinoma are the most common type. The former two types of lung cancer in the treatment with small cell lung cancer are completely different, which are called non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). According to 2014 Chinese cancer statistics report statistics, the 5-year overall survival rate of lung cancer in our country is only 16.1%, however the survival of lung cancer in recent decades not seen obviously improved. For a long time, the lung squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and pulmonary large cell carcinoma are called non-small cell lung cancer, and the treatment of lung cancer mainly according to the different clinical stages. However, as the EGFR-TKI, bevacizumab and pemetrexed for the treatment of lung adenocarcinoma advantage position established, people began to look at lung squamous carcinoma as the pathological type of treatment alone. In recent years, significant progress was made in lung squamous cell carcinoma treatment. Objective:To study the chemotherapy and comprehensive treatment whether to extend survival and whether the patients with advanced lung squamous carcinoma overall survival are prolong than twenty years ago. Methods:Retrospective investigation of China-Japan Friendship hospital inpatients medical records from April 1,2011 to December 31,2015,who were diagnosed with ⅢB or Ⅳ stage lung squamous carcinoma related. Total follow-up of lung squamous patients were 57, by the method of interview, telephone follow-up. According to the situation of patients’ medical records, diagnose and overall survival calculate the median survival and overall survival, applicator of excel and SPSS 18.0 software to analyze data. Results:The retrospective investigation of 57 cases of lung cancer patients and compared with the data of 20 years ago found that nearly 4 years of lung squamous carcinoma lifetime is improved from 1995 to 1998. The recent data’s median survival period extended 5 months, the difference is statistically significant. Using COX proportional hazards model, the follow-up data from 2011 to 2015, multi-factor analysis results only targeted therapy for independent prognostic factor, for only limited tumor specimens, such as biopsy or cytology adenocarcinoma ingredients cannot be completely ruled out, then you need to do EGFR and ALK gene rearrangement detection generally. Some patients will benefit from targeted therapy. To relieve primary tumors and metastases cause symptoms, can consider applying palliative radiotherapy, partial treatment such as argon helium knife. Treatment should pay close attention to in the process of support.
