Computed tomography (CT) is the main method to diagnosis rib frac-tures, but because of the special organization structure of ribs, it has a fair chance to miss diagnosis. On many occasions, accurate diagnosis requires experi-ences. While it’s needed to manually track multiple slices in the two-dimensional method, and rotate the images for the traditional 3-D visualization method, which could be time-consuming. So in this paper, a method to project the frame to a two-dimensional plane is put forward, which can avoid the impact of the shelter and make tiny fracture easy to be detached. The structures of ribs are tubular, so we use a filter to strengthen the edge of ribs at first, next we adjust the threshold to eliminate sternum and spine, then reconstruction of the Poisson surface to polish the concave and convex is needed, at last we extract the skeleton through Laplace contraction. Finally, we project ribs to a two-dimensional plane with the ribs information preserved.
