Enshi Tujia nation is a nation which is good at singing and dancing. With thedevelopment of society, the elements of folk music in western Hubei is turning moreand more diverse. Based on Tujia culture and regional music, many good-arrangedfolk music emerged in large numbers constantly. Among which, some folk songscomposed by famous composers Wang Yuanping,Fang Shi,etc, are of great influence.Songs composed by them are close to Tujia people’s daily life, express deeprelationships and feelings toward Tujia people. Inspiration of this paper comes fromnumerous Tujia composed folk songs in recent years.This paper focus on western Hubei nation Tujia composed folk songs, throughanalysing two Tujia charmed folk songs “zhao mo mi”(write by Mou Lianjiu,composed by Wang Yuanping),“zhi ga si de”(write by He Peixuan, composed byFang Shi), exponded the commonness and induviduality between Tujia composedfolk songs and troditional folk songs. Upon this basis, the author combined someperformance experiences of himself, regard Tujia composed folk music as a carrier;By analysing folk music and his performance, the author discussed the formation andfeatures of Tujia performing style which is based on Tujia folk music creatingelements.
