| Chinese contemporary animation drawing now has become the focusof this industry. In the market expansion and drawing’sself-renewal, a group of artists formed by the young men who bornin1970s to1990s are emerging. This is called “The generation ofanimation.â€Moreover, from the data of exhibition and auction, moreand more young artists are on the way to the animation creation,and form a new kind of art scene. Therefore, either on the academicvalues or the methods in the creation, animation drawing are veryworthy of analysis and exploratory.However, the phenomenon that lack of originality andaboriginality are very serious in the art of Chinese animationdrawing. Therefore, it is labeled as the pronoun of “superficialcultureâ€. This criticism is examined from an isolate perspectiveand completely breaking away from the historical background andrealistic questions. Therefore, this paper is analyzing on the lackof originality in the Chinese contemporary animation drawing from the interaction of history, society, family, individual, culture,economic and other aspects. However, there are some articles aboutthe criticism on the originality in animation industry but thearticle is hard to see the deep analyzing even without anyintrospections. The author is the same with these animation drawingartists and born in the same era background, so has some profoundrecognition and understanding for some of the problems related tothe animation.The first chapter of this paper has a brief recalling on theconcept and history of animation of which it particularly discussesthe developing situation of Japan’s animation and the main artistsare Takashi Murakami and Yoshitomo Nara who are familiar by thepeople in the contemporary era. These two artists get extensiveattentions by artists, critics, curators and gallery. The purposeof mentioning these two is to interpret the keys to their successwhile analyzing their works so as to conduct critics andintrospection on the missing of originality. However, in the secondchapter the author selects the artists like Gao Yu, Chen Ke, Li Jikaiand Weijia etc. to conduct an analyzing on example illustration.The purpose is to see the current situation and reason of the missingof originality in Chinese animation drawing from the image recordsin their works. This is to echo with the third chapter on the reasonsof missing of originality. Of course, after a series of analyzingand introspection, the final goal of this paper is to improve thephenomenon of lacking originality and aboriginality. Therefore,the fourth chapter of this paper is to propose some developingstrategies and academy suggestions. It is hoped that to evoke thepeople to realize the significance of the originality of animationdrawing creation and inherit the local traditional culture by theanalyzing and introspection on the works. |
