Driver is one of the important concepts in transactional analysis theory, individuals will show specific behaviors under the drive of drivers, which will influence everybody’s working patterns, interpersonal relationship and their coping styles. Transactional analysis theorist Taibi Kahler(1974)divided driver into five dimensions, be perfect, hurry up, please others, be strong and try hard. Based on driver theory, this research tested over400enterprise staffs, through literature analysis, open-ended questionnaire, semi-structured interview to explore the structure of Chinese enterprise employees’ drivers and established the Driver behavior questionnaire. The study comprises three parts. The first one is to develop driver behavior questionnaire and examine its reliability and validation. The following part is to investigate the characteristics of enterprise staffs’ driver behaviors. The last part is to explore the relationship between personality traits and driver behaviors, in addition, on the basis of controlling demographic variables, using hierarchical regression to probe predictive effect of personality traits on driver behaviors.Depending on all above studies we can arrive at some conclusions below:(1)Under the background of Chinese culture, driver behaviors of enterprise staffs can be divided into five dimensions, Be perfect, Hurry up, Please others, Be strong and Try hard. By means of qualitative study, researcher developed the driver behavior questionnaire, and confirmed its reliability and validation; it can be used in relative research.(2)The demographic difference results show that there are five variables such as gender, age, educational level, home-type and mother’s educational level have a significant influence to enterprise staffs’driver behaviors, but one-kid variable and parents’ job types have no significant effect on their driver behaviors.(3)Through correlation analysis, we find that Neuroticism, Extraversion and Openness are relative with the total scores significantly. Via hierarchical regression, Neuroticism and Extraversion have a positive significant predictive effect on the total driver behavior. Meanwhile, Conscientiousness can predict Be perfect significantly and positively; Neuroticism can predict Hurry up both significantly and positively; Agreeableness can predict Hurry up and Please others significantly and negatively; Extraversion can predict Be strong significantly and negatively, predict Try hard significantly and negatively.
