The periods of Qianlong and Jiaqing was a flourishing time of women’s writing inQing dynasty, more and more female writers gained their fames for writing poetry.And, many famous female poetry groups had appeared, especially a group formed byfemale students of YuanMei, which was a milestone of Qing dynasty female’sliterature history. As a female student of Yuan’s, Qian Mengdian’s writing in poetrywas appreciated by some writers in that time.Though her family was not a very famous one in the city of ChangZhou, but itwas a family status that took books as very important things. And we can see thatmany members of it thrown themselves in imperial examinations in their familypedigree. In the Qianlong period, the family members have great achievements onliterature. When her father was a official in Zhejiang province, Qian founded a poetryclub with her families which named by her name’HUAN QING’. Affluent familyculture atmosphere, enlightened family education and dynamic writings of herfamilies, all of these made a deep influence on Qian-Mengdian’s literary creationachievement.In late imperial China, as a boudoir woman, her living space was depended onher farther and husband. Expect a short time for taking care of her father and stayingin hometown, her life was almost with her husband to hold a post somewhere, suchas Shan-Xi, Si-Chuan and other places. Therefore, most of her poetry was created atthis situation. In addition, she had opportunities to exchange views with otherboudoir poets. There are many poems about sending to her closed friends in heranthology. Not only she communicated with women poets,but also with a number ofcelebrities, such as Bi-Qiufan, Hong-liangji, Guan-shiming. Exchanges with feministpoets and celebrities, which greatly expanded her horizons, also affected her poetrystyle. A strong family history, long-term experience with her official husband and theexchanges with other men poets which made her poetry showing a men like style.Her languages were mild and gentle, full of strong bookish interest which presentedan elegant lyrical style. By analyzing the literary influence impacted by her family background and lifeexperiences, we can comprehend the poetic style of Qian Mengdian fully, we can alsounderstand gains and losses on her literature creation as she was a female poet infeudal society.Modern scholar Hu Xiaoming according to the Shanghai Librarycollection “Huan Qing Poems” finished Qian Mengdian’s anthology. But some poemsare different with those in “Country Boudoir Poems” edited by a Qing dynasty scholarnamed Cai Dianqi. So, these differences on the versions are worthy to study. This issome of the work done in this paper.
