A Study Of Mencius' Thought Of Justice

The idea of justice runs through all aspects of Mencius thought. And it rooted in his "goodnature" and "benevolence" thought. It has always been a hot issue in academic research anddiscussion. Every type of society needs justice which plays a decisive role to the social systemand the stability of the country. Mencius epitomized the Confucianism. His idea of justice isperfect at the time of the social system. An in-depth study of it has an important significance forthe construction of the Chinese socialism and the social harmony.This thesis explains from three respects to expound the importance of it. In the first part, Idissertated it from its background, realistic factors and the personal aspirations of Mencius. Thesecond part is the focus of this thesis. I not only studied its basic idea and principle, but alsosearched its application in political and economic through reading massive literature. Now is acritical period of building the socialism with Chinese characteristic. In the third part, I discussedthe enlightenment it can bring to us. Among them, the main body of the article is the second partof the content, In the second part, can be divided into three grade tow level heading.Charity, righteousness, Ceremony, Wisdom the Mencius justice thought are described indetail, benevolence is the core content of it, and the source of Mencius justice thought. It can besaid that, goodness and benevolence is the starting point of it.
