Summary And Comparison On Justice Of Mencius And Rawls

All along,whether in academia or prevalent custom,discussion on "justice" never cooled.The reason is that justice is not only got involved in the academic research,but also associated with the state and society.It is both a historical problem and a real problem.Faced with such a problem,western and Chinese philosophers have done researches from historical to present,combined theory and practice,and they tried to give different connotations on justice,and tried to use these principles,connotations to solve social problems which promoted the society to a direction toward good.It can be said that the traditional Chinese concept of justice is an awareness from the heart-based on the consciousness of morality.It does not elaborate too much reason of justice,but rather focus on the level of enlightenment,which is in line with the expression of Chinese philosophy.Chinese concept of justice,such as Mencius who mainly preach and explain the Confucian "justice" which bases with "benevolence",keeps "righteousness" as moral principle,and forms "courtesy" as the real basis of justice ideology.In contrast,the western concept of justice is fairness or emphasizing equal which universality of operability is built up by rational principles of justice.It has a strict logical argument,and repeatedly derivation,deduction and repetition.Western justice not only provides a theoretical foundation for the modern Western democracy,but also reflects the fundamental difference between the Chinese traditional "justice".or Chinese society,to Follow the traditional Chinese style of moral justice,or to learn from western well-developed institutional justice or procedural justice,that is a very difficult choice because strengths and weaknesses are always inseparable.Social harmony needs justice support.In order to help people reflect on their own idea of justice and strengthen the rule of justice in real life recognition,prompt the public to believe justice,practice justice,and gradually become more rational,and to live a better life,we have to inherit advantages of traditional Chinese concept of justice,promote virtue as justice,combined with China's social reality and learn from Western valuable thoughts outcomes on justice.By comparing Mencius and Rawls' justice similarities and differences,the author tries to seek communication and blend between Western and Chinese justice paradigm to achieve the following three parts:general view of the intrinsic value of justice;strengths and weaknesses in actual use;supplementary based on conditions of both national the world.
