Mencius Thought

The justice is an important topic today, especially in the background of constructing harmonious society. However there were fewer dissertations about Mencius' justice thoughts before now. The paper study on Mencius' justice thoughts unifies the time characteristic, and attempts to have a unique interpretation by the research. In the view of constructing the socialism harmonious society, the historical tradition influence don't vanish, and the development of market economy request us positively absorb the west political civilization. This article mainly analysis Mencius' justice thoughts, and try to find the rationale for constructing socialism harmonious society in the vision of the contemporary justice theory in the west.The first chapter of paper analyzes the time characteristic which Mencius in, and elaborates Mencius' Wangdao ideal. The second chapter mainly studies Mencius' justice thoughts through analyzed the words 'Yi' in "Mencius" and his Wangdao ideal, summarizes the characteristic of Mencius' justice thoughts. Third chapter further discusses the human nature foundation of Mencius' justice. Fourth chapter accounts Rowls' justice theory and observes the value of the Mencius justice thoughts in the vision of the justice theory in west. Than discusses the value and enlightenment of two justice views for constructing harmonious social.
