| For a long time, philosophers have been focusing on rational thinking much more than on bodily sensation. From Parmenides forward, philosophers have been pursuing the eternal existence which could be grasped by the rational thought. They believe knowledge is supreme truth through rational thought; meanwhile the sensual flux has been regarded as nonexistence, everything perceived by the senses is illusion. Since then, this eternal existence has been reflected in Plato’s theory of idea, Aristotle’s theory of form and other rationalists’ theories. It is notable that, in Descartes’ mind-body dualism, rationality is regarded as the essence of mind, and sensation is degraded to a subsidiary attribute of human existence. However, this is not true. Sensation,especially that wonderful bodily sensation, has always been the main window of understanding things and form the basis of understanding. Even when the subject of rational thinking, it can still perceive the sensation of germinating. Bodily sensation is the same as our bodies are inseparable, so that bodily sensation of being embedded in the body is still watching whether it is input or output information. Since the20th century, the development of bodily sensation can be described as a rapid growth trend, constantly enrich the connotation. Maurice Merleau-Ponty in view, bodily sensation is no longer something simply issued by a sensory organ, but sensation under the combined body field, perception games, as well as the environment surrounding the field around the body,etc. And have some sensation of intent, it can take the initiative to cognitive things. The development of post-modernism, especially in France, where the great philosopher Gilles Delleuze, bodily sensation more vibrant. It can not only perceive around, can also have levels like music, dancing rhythmically.
