Bashidang site is located in Wufu Village, Mengxi town, Li County of Hunan Province. It has an area of about30,000square meters and was built8,000to7,500years ago. A large number of mid-Neolithic relics were discovered after cultural relics survey in1986and exploring respectively in1993. These findings not only enrich the Pengtoushan culture, and relics found such as the room sites and ditches, etc. also provide valuable materials for the research of prehistoric settlement patterns in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River. The abundant information of the Eastern site (clear stacking sequence of the stratum and the found relics) also plays an important role in the research and judgment of the entire site. Therefore, this thesis will focus on the analysis of stacking sequence of the stratum and the distribution of the plane through the research of parts of the stratum and the discovery of the relics in T1-T9of the Eastern site. Finally, this thesis aims to provide a reference for other researchers through the study of the data that I have got since the information of my thesis is different to some extent to the formal excavation report which was published in2006.
