Multicultural music education in today’s international musiceducation advocated by the mainstream. In recent years, multi-culturalmusic education has become one of the key Chinese music education concerns.I in February20136-11, January18,2014-25days, respectively,Singapore multicultural music education in ordinary schools, andSingapore National Institute of Education conducted site visits andinterviews with some of the teachers and students to collect relevantinformation.Based on the Singapore education and music education history combinginvestigated the rise, development and current situation in Singapore inordinary schools multicultural music education. Of which there are threeimportant findings: first, the Singapore multicultural music educationin ordinary schools and their cultural identity is extremely relevant;Second, as the National Institute of Education of Singapore, Singaporehigher education in ordinary schools to carry out multi-cultural musiceducation has had a huge role in promoting; third, Singapore multiculturalmusic education has much to learn from China’s experience in ordinaryschools.
